Attribution
A contested claim is presented as the claim of the person making it, never as fact. Where two parties give different figures, both figures appear with their sources, and the gap is flagged rather than resolved.
Sources
Every article points to verifiable sources collected after the story. Primary documents — court rulings, ministry data and official texts — take precedence over press summaries, and material claims remain attributed in the narrative.
Use of artificial intelligence
Artificial-intelligence tools may help research, draft, translate, design or program an interactive article. A human editor checks the facts, sources, copy, visual behaviour and every language edition, then takes responsibility by approving it. No article publishes without that step.
Numbers and dates
Numerals are set in Western figures across all three editions, following Maghrebi press convention. Estimates are given as ranges, not single values. Provisional death tolls carry the date they were reported.
